Skeeter Feeder “Shortie” | ATV and Flatbed Remote-Control Feeder

The Skeeter Feeder “Shortie” delivers the proven performance of the original Skeeter Feeder in a smaller, lighter package. Designed for ranchers, landowners, and wildlife managers, the Shortie provides an easy way to distribute cubes, corn, or pellets without constantly leaving the vehicle.

Its compact design makes it especially useful on ATVs, UTVs, and flatbed pickups where tailgate access is not needed. Despite its smaller footprint, the Shortie maintains useful feeding capacity while making the system easier to maneuver across rough ranch country.

Compact Design for Ranch Vehicles

The Shortie was designed for situations where a full-length feeder setup may not be necessary. It features a shorter T-bar and eliminates the rail system found on the original model.

Reducing the overall length helps the feeder travel through steep draws, uneven terrain, ranch roads, and other challenging areas. The compact design also makes it easier to use with smaller ranch vehicles.

The feeder mounts to a standard 2-inch receiver hitch and can be positioned on the front or rear of compatible vehicles.

Optional 8-inch and 12-inch hitch extenders are also available for certain UTV applications, including vehicles such as the Kawasaki Mule and John Deere Gator.

Wireless Feed Control

Every Skeeter Feeder Shortie includes two wireless remotes. These allow the operator to control feed distribution without getting out of the vehicle.

For livestock operations, staying in the vehicle can make feeding more convenient while reducing the need to walk among cattle. One person can drive the feeding route and operate the feeder at the same time.

Wildlife managers can enjoy the same advantage when distributing corn or pellets across hunting properties and managed wildlife areas.

Adjustable Feed Distribution

Different feed products require different amounts of flow. The Shortie includes an adjustable feed-rate shim positioned internally over the feed door.

The opening can be manually adjusted from approximately 1 inch to 6 inches. This allows the operator to better control the amount of feed being distributed.

Whether using grain, pellets, corn, or cubes, the adjustable system provides greater control over pile size and feed distribution.

Simple Power Connections

The Shortie is designed to get to work without complicated electrical installation.

Each feeder includes a 7-way trailer plug and battery terminal loop adapters with quick-disconnect connections. Trucks and other compatible vehicles can use the trailer connection, while ATVs and UTVs can connect directly to a nearby battery.

No wire cutting is required. Connect the appropriate power source, load the hopper, and begin feeding.

150 Pounds of Cubes or 200 Pounds of Corn

Compact does not mean giving up useful capacity.

The Skeeter Feeder Shortie provides up to 150 pounds of cube feed capacity or 200 pounds of corn capacity.

This makes it useful for both livestock and wildlife management. Ranchers can distribute range cubes to cattle, while hunters and landowners can use corn or pellets as part of their wildlife management programs.

Having one system capable of handling several types of feed gives property owners more flexibility throughout the year.

Built for Ranch and Wildlife Management

The Shortie uses a durable metal hopper and rugged components designed for regular outdoor use. Its smaller size helps make it manageable without taking away the practical features ranchers need.

The combination of wireless operation, adjustable feed flow, receiver-hitch mounting, and flexible power connections allows a single operator to handle feeding efficiently.

Every Shortie is also backed by a one-year Bumper-to-Bar Warranty covering qualifying manufacturing defects that directly affect the usability of the feeder.

Big Performance in a Smaller Package

The Skeeter Feeder Shortie is designed for people who want dependable feeding capability without the size of a full-length system.

With its compact receiver-hitch design, wireless controls, adjustable feed rate, flexible power options, and capacity for cubes, corn, and pellets, the Shortie is ready for everyday ranch and wildlife management work.

Built tough. Designed simple. Made to go wherever the work takes you.
